Common questions
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone, encrypted. It isn't backed up to iCloud and can't be moved to a new phone. Download My Data (Settings › Account & Privacy) gives you a CSV file to keep or share with your care team, but the app can't import it back.
I lost my phone or deleted the app.
Your log was only on that iPhone, so it can't be recovered from anywhere else, and I don't have a copy. That's why it's worth downloading a copy now and then.
I forgot my password.
Your password never leaves your iPhone, so I can't reset it. If you're still signed in, your data is safe. If you're signed out and can't sign in, delete the app and start again; the old data can't be recovered.
The app asks for Face ID every time.
If you turned on the lock, it asks again after 1 minute away to keep your health data private. You can turn it off in Settings › Account & Privacy.
My readings from Apple Health aren't showing up.
Check that your sensor's or meter's app saves glucose to Apple Health, and that Dose is allowed to read it in the iPhone's Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Dose. Readings appear as your sensor app shares them with Apple Health, and some apps add a delay. Dose checks each time you open it.
